At the early hour of 10:30am, I was abruptly awoken by a phone call from Gracie reminding me that I had promised to join the weekly Sushi outing at Shogun. After a short nap, I got ready for the day and stared out my storm door waiting for The Sheriff to arrive to pick me up. However, it was not The Sheriff traveling to my doorstep. Vaan decided that we needed a fifth adventurer for the day, who for all intents and purposes in the blog be known as ...AMY. AMY and The Sheriff arrived ten minutes late and we made our way to the wonderful world of Shogun. (side note--- AMY has a petrified insect in her backseat in which I found creepily amusing) After arriving we found that The Sheriff would have to stand due to lack of seating. I took a seat and made friends with a small child who kept calling me by name. He was quite delightful. Anyway, it turns out that the idea of eating raw fish--or fish in general--repulses me, so I refrained from ordering. The others ordered a hearty meal of grossness and I sat and pondered the meaning of life and listened to their amusing conversation. When The Sheriff's meal came I gave her my seat and took my place standing. The small child and I continued making silly faces at each other while my compadres ate. Later, I took AMY's seat while she and Gracie played air hockey on my phone. Shortly following, we decided to move this shindig to the energy supplier of the universe, aka Starbucks. After spilling a large portion of my drink on my pants, I looked like a fool and tried to hide this by being overly fidgity. After an hour of chatting and generally making fun of Vaan (as always) we parted ways for the afternoon.
