The night was young and so were we. We were at a friend's apartment when we realized Jazz Square had never before been a part of the greatness that is Apples to Apples. So we dipped into our cooler of vodka-saturated fruit and began a game. Before long we received a phone call from Vaan looking for mischief on a slow night in Bowling Green, Ky. Shortly Vaan and a new friend (who would later come to be known as Free Willy) arrived on our doorstep. After the never-ending game we declared our drunken queen.
We decided to take our first road trip together because the males in our group were not happy with the refreshments provided. After the long journey to the far-away destination of KROGER all the way out on a road known to some as Campbell Lane (a total of 0.0003 miles away, round trip), we found that my medication was not interacting well with the fruity concoction I had consumed, but I am a trooper. I was not going to let a minor detail hinder the adventures of the night. On the long road home, I was captivated by the story Vaan had to tell about his past quest to the wonderful land of Los Angeles for a Power Rangers Convention. It was a bonding experience.
Back at the apartment, we began a game called Circle of Death. Played with not one, but two entire decks of cards, this proved to be another never-ending game which was interupted by a friendly knock on the door. Waterfall (so named for his tortorous drinking tactics) opened the door to find Kevin!!! For those who don't know, RoboCop Kevin was at our door because some lamo filed a noise complaint against our apartment. But due to the feminine whiles of our lovely hostess, Kevin soon went on his way. However, Waterfall took this way too personally, because all of the burden would fall upon him if Kevin were to return. His assumptions were false, and unfortunately we all would have to share the blame. (Near miss for jail time for Jazz Square, The Sheriff, and Vaan, let's hope the good luck continues)
Kevin was such a downer, the crowd began to wane. Dutifully, Jazz Square, Free Willy, and I soldiered on with the game. And speaking of soldiers, this was the time when Free Willy revealed his big plans for the next day. He informed us that he would be traveling to Sacramento (yes there is a Sacramento in Ky) to get shot at. That is, he was going to be a part of your typical friendly neighborhood Civil War reenactment. (Go Great South, You Will Rise Again!) I decided that we need to show our support for Free Willy by attending a reenactment for one of our future adventures.
So, the game ended, we bid our hostess adeiu, and we all went our separate ways waiting for the day when our next adventure could begin.
